Integration Architect

You will work at the intersection of architecture, business needs, and modern technology, helping to build a future-ready integration ecosystem that supports innovation, scalability, and growth across the organization.

Working closely with architects, developers, product teams, DevOps, and Group IT, you will influence both the long-term direction and day-to-day evolution of our integration capabilities.

What you'll do

As our Integration Architect, you will lead the development of Axiell's integration architecture and shared platform capabilities. You will establish standards, governance, and best practices that enable teams to build secure, scalable, and reliable integrations across cloud, SaaS, and on-premises environments.

You will drive the adoption of modern integration approaches such as API-first and event-driven architectures, support strategic technology decisions, and ensure alignment across products, teams, and business domains. In addition, you will act as a trusted advisor and mentor, helping teams solve complex integration challenges while promoting excellence in security, performance, observability, and maintainability.

You bring a strategic mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to balance long-term architectural vision with practical business needs. Experience evaluating, integrating, or governing AI-powered solutions in enterprise environments is considered a strong advantage.

Architecture & Integration 

• API-first architecture 

• Event-driven architectures (EDA) 

• Microservices and service-oriented architectures 

• Enterprise integration patterns 

• API lifecycle management and governance 

• Integration platform strategy and platform ownership 

Cloud & Platform Technologies 

• Azure, AWS, or hybrid cloud environments 

• Azure Integration Services, Boomi, MuleSoft, Workato, or similar platforms 

• Kafka, Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, or other messaging technologies 

• Modern SaaS and distributed application ecosystems 

Security & Governance 

• OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and JWT 

• Secure integration patterns and Zero Trust principles 

• Versioning, policy management, and governance frameworks 

• Enterprise-scale architecture standards 

Technical Leadership 

• Influencing technical strategy across teams 

• Coaching developers and technical leads 

• Translating complex technical concepts into business value 

• Collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders 

Nice-to-have 

• GitHub, CI/CD, and DevOps practices 

• Power Platform (Power Automate and Power Apps) 

• AI-assisted development tools 

• Development in Java or C# 

We believe you have: 

• 8+ years of experience within integration and solution architecture

• Experience designing scalable cloud-based integration solutions

• Strong understanding of architecture governance and best practices

• Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience
