AXIELL GROUP AB
INTEGRATION ARCHITECT

Are you an experienced Integration Architect ready to take ownership of a shared, enterprise‑level integration platform? At Axiell, we are looking for an Integration Architect to own and align the technical vision, strategy, and evolution of our common integration platform, supporting a diverse portfolio of products across culture, knowledge, and public sector domains.
In this role, you will be responsible for defining and governing Axiell’s integration architecture end‑to‑end — ensuring systems communicate in a secure, scalable, and future‑proof way. You will work closely with integration developers, development teams, DevOps, Group IT, product management, and fellow architects to provide clear guidance, make strategic technology decisions, and ensure consistent adoption of architectural standards across the organization.
This is a senior, expert‑level role for someone who enjoys combining strategic architectural ownership with hands‑on collaboration, technical ownership, and continuous improvement in complex, distributed environments.
Key Skills & Competencies
Senior Integration Architect with expert-level experience in complex platform and system integration environments.
Integration architecture and design expertise:
API-first design, event-driven architecture (EDA), microservices and SOA
Data formats and protocols (REST, OData, JSON, XML)
API management, gateways, and lifecycle governance
Cloud and platforms:
Cloud-based integration architectures (Azure, AWS, hybrid)
Integration platforms (e.g. Azure Integration Services, MuleSoft, Boomi)
Messaging and streaming (Kafka, Azure Service Bus, Event Grid)
Security and governance:
API security and identity (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT)
Secure integration patterns (zero trust, encryption in transit/at rest)
Governance, versioning, and policy enforcement
Integration patterns and operations:
Enterprise integration patterns (pub/sub, request-response, CQRS)
Data consistency and eventual consistency strategies
Observability, monitoring, and troubleshooting of distributed integrations
Strong experience with iPaaS solutions (e.g. Azure Integration Services, Boomi, Workato) and defining architectural principles, standards, and governance across teams.
Solid understanding of non-functional requirements (security, scalability, reliability, resilience, monitoring, logging), as well as databases, data modeling, and data management.
Comfortable communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with GitHub, CI/CD, and DevOps practices is a strong advantage, as well as familiarity with MS Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) and modern AI-assisted development tools.
Fluent in English with strong communication and collaboration skills.
Requirements
University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent senior professional experience
Approximately 8–10+ years of experience in senior technical or Integration Architect roles
Proven experience designing and evolving platform‑centric integration architectures rather than point‑to‑point solutions
Strong background in cloud‑based architectures, SaaS environments, and enterprise integration platforms
Demonstrated ability to guide, mentor, and support teams in adopting shared platform standards and best practices
Solid experience ensuring long‑term maintainability, scalability, and governance across integration landscapes
Experience of development in Java or C#
