INTEGRATION DEVELOPER

Are you an experienced integration specialist who wants to play a key role in shaping a scalable, secure, and future‑proof integration landscape? At Axiell, we are looking for an Integration Developer to help design, guide, and evolve our common integration platform supporting our global portfolio of SaaS and on‑prem solutions for the cultural and public sector. 

In this role, you will work at the intersection of architecture, development, and platform governance. You will define and safeguard integration principles, support development teams with clear standards and patterns, and ensure that integrations across the organization are consistent, reusable, and aligned with long‑term business and IT objectives. 

You will collaborate closely with integration developers, software development managers, DevOps, Group IT, product teams, and other architects. While you won’t be responsible for people management, you will act as a technical authority and advisor, enabling teams to deliver high‑quality integrations efficiently and reliably. 

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining strategic architectural thinking with hands‑on collaboration and technical guidance in complex, enterprise‑scale environments. 

Key Skills & Competencies 

• Strong experience as an Integration Architect or senior Integration Developer in complex, enterprise environments 

• Deep knowledge of modern integration architectures and patterns, including:  

  • API-first, microservices, and event-driven architecture  

  • REST/OData, JSON/XML  

  • API management, gateways, and lifecycle governance  

  • Cloud integration (Azure/AWS) and integration platforms  

  • Messaging and streaming (Kafka, Service Bus)  

  • Security (OAuth2, OpenID Connect) 

  • Java or C# 

• Hands‑on experience with cloud‑based integration platforms (iPaaS) such as Azure Integration Services, Boomi, Workato, or similar 

• Solid understanding of non‑functional requirements: security, scalability, reliability, resilience, monitoring, and logging 

• Experience defining and maintaining architectural standards, guidelines, and technical documentation 

• Comfortable working with API governance, versioning, lifecycle management, and standardized interfaces 

• Experience collaborating with DevOps teams, including CI/CD pipelines, Git version control, and modern deployment models 

• Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to explain architectural decisions to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders 

• Experience with MS Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) and/or AI‑assisted development tools is a plus 

Requirements 

• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent senior professional experience 

• Approximately 5–7+ years of experience in senior integration or architecture roles 

• Proven track record working with shared integration platforms and promoting reuse over custom point‑to‑point solutions 

• Experience working within defined architectural frameworks, standards, and governance models 

• Ability to balance strategic architectural thinking with pragmatic, delivery‑focused support to development teams 

• Experience of development in Java or C#
