Work description

We are seeking high-energy, results-driven professionals to guide customers to Axiell’s proven software-as-a-service solutions (SaaS).  You will serve as key contact and liaison between Axiell and current and future clients throughout the sales process by running key plays driven by inbound leads. Ideal candidates should be results-oriented, possess outstanding customer facing skills, and have a proven track record selling SaaS or Collection Management Software (CMS).

About the role

  • Reaching and exceeding quarterly sales targets

  • Developing sales strategies for targeted customer and prospect segments to drive new business opportunities

  • Serving as a main point of contact for customers and triaging with other departments as needed to provide exceptional service

  • Pre-tender and tender work including the qualification of opportunities based on requirements (RFPs / RFIs)

  • Working with Project Delivery and Group IT teams to ensure that solution proposals are appropriately scoped

  • Managing contract negotiations and understanding key areas of risk

  • Updating and maintaining active deals for pipeline management, daily activity, and forecast data

  • Attending Axiell conferences, tradeshows, and other events

  • Staying up to date as it relates to the industry which impact products and services

About you

  • 5 years of successful sales experience, preferably in a complex selling environment with executive-level buyers

  • Experience in building a pipeline that supports the attainment of sales targets

  • Superior communication skills with the ability to make clear, compelling, and value-focused sales presentations

  • A strong work ethic and goal-oriented attitude

  • Excellent time-management skills with the discipline to handle multiple tasks and quickly adapt to change in a fast-paced, structured selling environment

  • A strategic mindset with a passion for solving problems, selling on value, and a willingness to be adaptable to the ever-changing business of technology

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent education in Business, Arts, Cultural Studies, Science, or Technology

  • Ability to travel within the United States and Canada up to 20% of the time


  • Experience promoting and demonstrating technical products, preferably enterprise-level software solutions

  • SaaS sales knowledge of infrastructure and cloud solutions

  • Knowledge of current collections management practices and challenges; expertise in the fields of natural history, moving images, or archives management
