SALES MANAGER DACH

About Axiell

At Axiell, we develop software solutions that support libraries, museums, and archives, making culture and knowledge more accessible to everyone.

With customers in more than 60 countries, Axiell is a leading European software provider for the cultural sector.

Our flagship solution, Quria, is more than a traditional Library Management System. It is an innovative, true SaaS services platform, natively built on IFLA LRM principles. Already adopted by libraries across several European countries, including a solid and well-established customer base in Germany and Switzerland, Quria is rapidly becoming the reference platform for libraries seeking digital transformation and long-term innovation.

As part of our continued growth in the DACH region, we are now looking for an experienced Sales Manager DACH to join our team and play a key role in expanding Quria’s footprint in public libraries.

Key Responsibilities

Sales development & business growth

Solution presentation & tenders

  • Present Quria’s functionality, value proposition, and long-term benefits to prospective customers.

  • Prepare and deliver product demonstrations and formal presentations, supported by the sales team.

  • Actively contribute to the preparation, structuring, and writing of responses to public tenders and procurement processes.

Negotiation & deal closing

  • Lead commercial negotiations and close contracts.

  • Prepare commercial proposals and detailed quotations in close collaboration with internal teams.

Sales follow-up & reporting

  • Provide regular sales reporting and pipeline updates to the VP Sales – Public Library.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in the CRM system, covering opportunities, activities, and customer interactions.

Market visibility & representation

  • Represent Axiell at trade fairs, conferences, workshops, and industry events within the library sector.

  • Build and maintain a strong professional network within the DACH library ecosystem, including customers, partners, and institutional stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in software sales, preferably within libraries, education, or the public sector. Previous experience in sales team leadership is mandatory

  • Education: Degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field.

  • Technical understanding: Good knowledge of library systems (LMS/LSP) and/or selling complex software solutions to cultural or public institutions.

  • Sales skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.

  • Languages:

    • Fluent German (written and spoken)

    • Very good English (corporate working language)

  • Mobility: Willingness to travel regularly within the DACH region and occasionally internationally.

Desired Competencies

  • Customer-oriented mindset: Ability to understand customer needs and translate them into well-adapted solutions.

  • Team player: Comfortable working closely with pre-sales, project, marketing, and support teams.

  • Proactivity: Ability to identify new market opportunities and propose innovative sales approaches.

What We Offer

  • A high-impact role within an ambitious growth journey in the DACH market.

  • A modern, future-proof, and well-recognised library platform with strong European references.

  • An international, collaborative, and people-oriented work environment.

  • Opportunities for professional growth and development.

  • Competitive compensation and flexible working conditions.
