What You'll Be Doing
🚀 Our Database Administrator plays a critical role in our organization that blends database administration with architectural strategy. You will be responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, and security of Microsoft SQL Server environments, while also designing and maintaining scalable database architectures aligned with current organizational needs and future growth.
Key responsibilities include managing SQL Server installations and configurations across various environments, implementing high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions, and conducting regular backups, restore, and recovery drills. You will perform routine health checks to maintain database integrity and proactively resolve performance issues by analyzing and optimizing slow-running queries.
Security is a core aspect of the role, requiring oversight of roles, permissions, and data encryption. You collaborate closely with development teams on schema design, normalization, and indexing strategies, ensuring efficient and reliable database solutions.
This role also involves transforming and optimizing databases for cloud platforms such as Azure SQL and AWS RDS.
