Job Description Service Engineer
As a Field Service Technician your job is to perform “hands-on” work for the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, and operation of ongoing and new chemical applications in the pulp and paper industry. This position also requires laboratory and analytical skills in a pulp and paper environment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
· Understanding of the pulp and papermaking process
· Strong technical, mathematical and customer service skills
· Able to juggle various tasks such as service of multiple instruments and administrative duties
· General knowledge of electrical dosing equipment, chemistry and safety
· Computer proficiency with a minimum of word processing, spreadsheets, and basic network and database knowledge
· Ability to use ordinary hand tools, calibrated tools, and analytical instrumentation, as well as handle chemically aggressive fluids, such as acids and bases
· Strong and concise verbal and written communication skills in English, French and Spanish language
· Self-motivated, with the ability to work in teams
· Ability to speak effectively in front of groups and customers, clients, and other employees within the organization
· Since this position includes (international) travel and fieldwork, you must possess a valid passport and driver’s license B
